Two preliminary groups will be played in Norway, including the group with the Norwegian team, and two preliminary groups will be played in Denmark, including the group with the Danish team which will be played in Aalborg.

However, in contrast to the days of euphoria in December 2002 when the Danish team won the European title in supremely convincing style, they won't play at their preferred home court, the NRGi Arena, this time round. The matches in Main Round 1, the semi-finales and the finals will be played in Herning.
